Perfect for a cozy retreat
I loved how welcoming the staff were at reception and Sophie, she was brilliant with directions the moment we arrived. my meal was surprisingly good for a hotel, had a fantastic evening dinner that warmed me right up after a long day.
It was a bit pricey for my usual standards but for what you get it's acceptable.

Deluxe Shepherd Hut, Beautifully finished interiors, Proximity to a nearby church
Communication about accommodation details could be clearer!!! WiFi performance lagging significantly!!! Better soundproofing needed to minimize noise disturbances in the rooms!!!

Avoid if you're a shooter.
Had a totally awful time here. The staff were rude, especially about our hunting trip. The room was okay, but the small shower was a hassle. Tried to store some game and they refused cuz of their personal beliefs. The breakfast we paid for wasn’t even served. Dining was a letdown too, bar closed early, left me snackin’ on chips.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the cosy single room with a lovely view and the well-decorated breakfast area with a great selection of food. I loved unwinding in the comfy lounge and the beautiful garden during my downtime. One small thing to improve would be to have a clearer menu for breakfast options since I almost missed out on the extras, but overall it was a great experience! 😊

Had a great time with friends! We explored a lovely garden and a fun playground nearby. The staff were friendly, and the hotel is in a nice location. Just a heads up, the breakfast wasn’t always replenished and the bar could use some improvement, but overall a solid choice for a group trip.

Perfect spot for family catch-ups
The location was spot on, just a quick walk to the local pub! We got checked into the Shepherd Hut early, which was awesome. The bed was super comfy, and the hut felt so cozy on a chilly night. Breakfast options were kinda basic, though—just toast and limited juice. Still, had a blast!
